  1. Hi there. This is Fred from Abysmalist. Thanks so much for playing our music on your blog! I just wanted to clarify a couple things. The reason there is no digital download for Reflections Of Horror is because it hasn’t been released yet. Sales on the Caligari bandcamp are simply a preorder for a cassette tape and Black Lacquer is currently streaming as an advance single. Our agreement (and I’m sure most band’s agreements ) with Caligari is only for the cassette version of the demo, not for digital/vinyl/CD or any other versions that may come in the future. Trust me, there’s no gatekeeping here. You definitely will not need to buy a cassette to get the music once it’s released. Rest assured that when the demo actually come out it will be available as a “name your price” download on our own personal bandcamp. It will also be available on all major streaming services. Also, to speak about your statement of “this is how you get your shit pirated”, Caligari is only making 150 copies of this tape. I’m actually DEPENDING on people to pirate this shit for more people to hear about it. Anyway, I hope that clears some things up and sorry for all the confusion. Thanks.
